The restoration of the magnificent 1647 palace, located on the eastern side of Piazza Navona, is finally complete, returning one of Rome’s most captivating treasures to the heart of the city. After months of careful work, the building has regained its stunning beauty, erasing the marks left by time and the elements.
Damaged surfaces, moisture stains, and water infiltrations have been treated with care, removing all traces of decay that threatened the structure. In particular, the roof, which had suffered significant damage, has been completely restored: the tiles were removed, infiltrations assessed, and damaged boards replaced, ensuring complete water protection.
The cornices, window frames, and painted surfaces, damaged by salts and smog, have been restored, bringing back the architectural details that had suffered over the years. The result is a total revival, preserving the building’s historic charm, while structural issues like cracks and erosion have been addressed with specific interventions, ensuring stability and safety.
Today, the palace is ready to shine once again, a testament to the grandeur of Rome and its history, right in the heart of Piazza Navona.
